10 Affirmations to Change your Life
Everyone makes affirmations but sometimes they don’t call it that.
You may call it just talking, just speaking my mind and thoughts, or something else. But affirming things over your life is a wonderful way to implement a deep truth that you need to keep rehearsing over and over until it becomes a reality.
Daily affirmations are positive, affirming statements that you repeat to yourself on a daily basis or nearly daily to influence your thoughts and behaviors. The idea is, the more you repeat the affirmation, the more you’ll start to believe it—and, the more real it will become to you and you will live as if it is true.
As you repeat the affirmation to yourself every day, the idea is that over time, you’ll actually start to believe your affirmations—and that belief will start to influence your behavior.
So, I want to give you 10 affirmations you can use to help you change your life.
Why? Because there are probably things that you want to change about your life for the better. There are things that you want to bring to your life that would make your life better and prosper you in the things of God. There are dreams that you need fulfilled and things that will bring peace, joy and more love to your life.
We all have things we need to work on and need to adapt. Saying things out loud brings it out of the realm of invisible and seemingly impossible into the visible realm and possible.
Hearing yourself say things changes the atmosphere and changes you.
Here goes:
1. “Today is filled with possibility of my dreams being fulfilled. I can do what I need to do for my dream of _______.”
Today is a great day for possibility. But, when you are behind the eight-ball so to speak you can’t see that so you have to say things for your dream and speak to it. Say this every morning to unleash the power to change your life starting today.
2. “I love myself the way I am. I love who I am and what I have become.”
Everyone has things about themselves they want to change, don’t like or just not fond of. But you still must love yourself and love who you are no matter what you have done or become. It can’t change until you accept where you are right now. Say this everyday to change the way you see you.
3. “I am strong. I can overcome any challenge.”
Are you in the middle of a challenging problem right now? Do you just feel defeated, frustrated and powerless. Say this affirmation everyday. You have to really say this one to change how you get through a hard place. The truth outweighs the facts. You are strong no matter what and you can over come anything. No matter what. But you must say it to take up that position effectively.
4. “I have unique strengths, abilities, and gifts and I don’t need to compare myself to anyone else.”
Sometimes we start to compare ourselves to others. Big mistake. Take a good long look at you and know that you are unique. There is not another you anywhere. God will use you the unique you He made you to be. Say that everyday and it will be a reality for you.
5. “My life is filled with purpose.”
I am big on teaching about purpose and you have a unique purpose. You are not useless or here by mistake. Take time to meditate on purpose and why God created you. Seek it out everyday until you find what you are to do with your life. YOU ARE SPECIAL. There is something finished your are supposed to start so do that today.
6. “I am confident about my future and have no fear of entering it.”
Are you afraid of the future? Stop it. You have no reason to be afraid of the future because you go to it with God and He is good so your future is good. Just because bad things happened in the past does not mean that you will have a bad future. You can always start again and again if need be. Don’t give up a future for a temporary set back in the present. Move ahead with great confidence.
7. “I am grateful for my life and life of my loved ones.”
Being grateful has great power. Be very grateful for your life because someone is worse off than you. Be grateful for those that love you and whom you love. Love is powerful and loving your life and being thankful for all the moments is a great way to start the day.
8. “I am worthy of love.”
Love is a powerful thing. It changes lives. It will change you when you really believe that you are worthy of love. I can’t tell you how many people I know do not love themselves and feel they are not worthy of love either. Stop that. You are here and you are worthy of love, being loved and loving others. If you feel differently it is because you don’t believe it. So you need to say it everyday. Start today.
9. “I forgive myself for anything I have done.”
Are you guilty of not forgiving yourself. Hey, we all make mistakes. We hate to make mistakes. I made a huge one a few weeks ago and feel horrible for it. But I have let myself off the hook even if the others involved don’t. Or say they do and don’t. I know I am forgiving. Frankly, sometimes we just do stupid stuff and not even realize we did it or said it. I am guilty. But forgive yourself and keep it moving.
10. “My life is filled with wonderful experiences.”
Being alive is wonderful and you should enjoy the experiences along the way. If you are not you need to say this one outlaid and being to expect to enjoy what you experience. Not everything is doom and gloom. The world is still here so there is good because God is keeping it together. Enjoy the moments you have.
When it comes to affirmations, consistency is key; if you want to see results, you need to practice them regularly—and, ideally, on a daily basis.
Set aside time on your calendar every morning for your affirmations. Make it a part of your daily routine. The more regularly you practice your affirmations, the faster you will change and produce the results you want.
Selah.
