God’s Got You Covered with His Plan
As long as you live you will be hard pressed to not meet anyone that doesn’t have a dream, a goal, or a desire of some kind in their heart? Something that they want to fulfill in their life. Nearly every person has a dream. We were made in eternity and the Bible says that eternity is in the heart of man.
Do you recall if there was something you wanted so badly that you would do almost anything to obtain it? You saved your money, you went to college, you studied hard, you got more training, or you worked out rigorously only to have that dream end in what seemed like failure.
Failure does come to all of us at some point. I think we all have experienced that at least once in our lives. We had the best plan. We knew our plan would work. We thought out every possible scenario that could go wrong and we just knew it wouldn’t happen to us. Surely not! But it did. The worst happened. Seemingly a failure or a disappointment to our best plan.
Life is like that sometimes. Why? Because we only know in part. We only know what we know. But our God knows everything. He has every detail of our lives covered. Every detail of our lives is planned out by Him. He sees the future and the right now at the same time.
There is a verse in the Bible that talks about the plans that God has for us. It tells in detail the plan God has for you.
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Wow!
That is some plan. But what does that mean for you and me personally.
First of all, it’s a detailed plan by God.
God knows you. He knows you so intimately that He knows the plan and the plan fits you personally. You can trust that the plan will fit your life, your desires, dreams, likes and dislikes, personality and more. This plan is perfect down to the last detail.
Next, the plan consists of prosperity, no harm coming to you. His plan will give you hope and it will be long lasting into the future. Now, you couldn’t even come up with a plan that great. This plan of God is so wonderful that God says that you will not be harmed by it. You won’t be disappointed or grieved by it.
You will be prospered by the plan. Your needs will be met. But, I think the most important part is you will have hope because of it. You will be hopeful about your future and look forward to what God has in store.
I want you to remember this verse by journaling answers to some questions. Write these out in the back of your Bible if you want or in a journal book. Pray ask God some questions about this verse.
- God what are you saying to me personally in this verse?
- God, what is your plan for me?
- How do I prosper in your plan?
- What plan do I need to give up and take up your plan?
- What do you want me to hope in with this plan?
- What can I do in this future plan?
- How can I get in agreement with your plan for me?
Everyone needs hope when “their” plan fails. And your plan will fail. Trust that. You may think you missed your moment. But God says, no. You didn’t miss anything with Him. He has had a plan all the time. He has it all covered. He has you covered by His plan. Going into your future with His hope is the best plan ever.
Sit with Him today and discuss your future. Dream with Him. Let Him share His heart plan for you.
