8-Day Love Challenge: Day 8
Day 8: Give the Gift of Forgiveness to Someone
This challenge day is precious. Why? Because you get the opportunity to give the gift to someone else but you really give it to yourself. The gift of forgiveness.
Today is the day to forgive someone. Forgive them for anything that they have done to you. Let it go. Drop it. Let it leave your life. Give it to Jesus. Let it go. For good.
I already know that some of you are really struggling with this topic. You are like NO! I can’t forgive. And you say that for a lot of reasons.
Well, I am here to tell you that you can and you must. I don’t have enough time here to teach you about forgiveness. All of us know what it is to forgive someone. Really forgive. I teach forgiveness with my clients. So if you would like to be a client contact me. But this blog post is to simply tell you to forgive someone now because you know you need to. Simple forgiveness you can do. You can forgive the co-worker, family member, brother, sister, friend or other persons.
Is there someone you’ve fallen out of relationship with? Is there a strained relationship in your life? Whether you are the offender, or if they are, or you both are, make an attempt to reconcile with them. Do whatever you can to make progress in reconciliation. Express interest in them, and show affection towards them.
Now will this always be possible? No. I have a few people in my life right now that I have tried to reach out to to find out what is wrong in our relationship and I can’t reach them. There seems no reconciliation is possible at this time. Be patient. God sees our hearts and hears our prayers. Sometimes we have to wait. Let God pave a way.
But, if you can, let today be the day that you get set free. Give this gift to them and to yourself.
Because, when you forgive you go free.
For some of you, the Holy Spirit has already been dealing with your heart to forgive. So do it. You got this.
Let me know if you participated in this challenge and how that went for you.
Talk to you later…
