Quiet Conversations: Lessons in the Intimate Place

Over the next 30 days, starting March 1,  I will be writing a series of blog posts everyday of conversations I have had over the years with women in one form or another and more importantly with the Holy Spirit about these questions that they have asked me about their marriages, being a godly woman and wife and their roles as the Holy Spirit teaches. At the end of this 30 days this will be finalized into a book, just for you! Now I won’t give you the whole book in my blog because I want you to get the finished product to enjoy but you will get enough here to desire more. How awesome is that!!!!

Introduction

 Sometimes in life we just need help  navigating our daily decisions and choices. Our way can seem dark and we just can’t see which way to go. A lot of us think we know the way, but shortly after we set out we realize that our decision was the wrong decision but we don’t know why.

Hopefully, this book will help you navigate the rough places of marriage, being a wife and a godly woman in Christ. These pages hold advice I was given by the Holy Spirit in quiet when I couldn’t find or hear answers. Holy Spirit came in the stillness and quiet and would speak to me about being a woman, wife, mother, Christian and His beloved.

You will read accounts of almost daily conversations and advice He gave to me in the intimate place of our time together where He shared His heart with me and revealed secrets to my soul. I encourage you to develop your own place of quiet with Him and learn at His feet how to navigate places in your life.

We learn a lot in the quiet place. When the soul is still we hear with more precise accuracy and depth.  It’s in the quiet place we hear His heart and we get His thoughts not ours. These conversations were birthed in the intimate place as I talked with many women over the years. A lot of them were hurting and wandering lost in their own place of pain. Some were trying to live out the questionable places of their lives and undo scrambled eggs so to speak. Many had no idea how to really be a wife and were looking for answers.

A lot of the answers I had to seek God for in my own quiet place. The same quiet place I hope you gain from this book.

Most of us hate quiet. Well, maybe not hate it but we can only take so much of it before we long for other stimuli. Learning to sit in quiet at His feet is a discipline that must be learned with patience. It takes time to hear God. Five or ten minutes at His feet is not enough. The Spirit moves and speaks at His will and to quiet our busy souls takes time.

Here are some of the things I will share with you that the Holy Spirit has shared with me. I call them “gold nuggets”.  Nuggets that He shared with me concerning integrity, loneliness, purity, my own words, being His bride, how people are bound, staying in position as wife, what do when your marriage is falling apart, how to learn to carry you gift and calling, and more.
