Oh, How He Loves You and Me

 

The love of God is so awesome, so perfect and so forever unchangeable we have no way of comprehending it all in our lifetime. 

We must never let that ever slip from our conscious thoughts. There is no one that can love us like He does. His love is perfection. His love is not painful, deceiving, crooked, stressful, hurtful, unfulfilling or disappointing.

There are so many in this world that the word love has become nothing more than a feeling and we have reduced the love of God to nothing more than a temporary emotion that changes on a whim of our hearts. That is a tragedy. 

In a quiet moment in the early morning hours Holy Spirit said to me….

“Do you love me, do you know how much I love you? Do you want to experience a love that many will not experience?”

I did. I wanted what He talked about. I knew earthly love would leave you wanting more and more and never satisfied. Now don’t get me wrong, our earthly love is strong. God gave it to us to express to one another here on earth. It is intoxicating and powerful and people live and die for it. But what if there was a love that could surpass our human love on a level that we just couldn’t explain or comprehend in words but God let us be the main participant.

Wouldn’t that be wonderful.

A love that surpassed the love of our children, a spouse, a dream and even your call. A love that you so totally surrendered to and gave every part of your life to. A love that never disappointed and met every need you could ever have.

That type of love sounds wonderful and totally freeing and complete.

“This love is only in Me”

Our conversation went on. God had my interest and attention.  But how could I get this love that only comes from the most perfect being, the God of all creation?

Holy Spirit spoke to me and said….

“You will need to spend time with Me. You will need to walk close to me. You will need to go through the fire and know that you can trust Me. There will be a level of trust that you must surrender your will to Me to know this love.”

Could it be possible to love this way that nothing would ever feel so wonderful and perfect again. I think so.

“Love is not a feeling. Love is a person. I am love to you and for you. That is the first lesson of love I want you to know. Love is tangible and real and alive.”

Now we all know that our brains go tilt when we think of love not being a feeling. That feeling you feel is out of knowing Him, the person of Love.

Love never fails and love always thinks of others and never thinks of itself. Love is kind and always giving. It never counts a suffered wrong. Love is God. These things sound impossible but only if you try to do them.

He told me…

“You must surrender your ideas of love on this earth, you must surrender your heart of love to me. Empty out your heart of love and let me give you my Love.”

I knew this would be a process. I knew it would take a lifetime. I knew it would take a paradigm shift in my own heart. I was ready. I was hungry for this love. It was a wakeup call. Are you ready to wake up?

Are you ready to love and fall in love with His Love today. Take the journey. Take the journey alone with Him and be forever changed.
